2026 2nd International Conference on Unmanned System and Technology Concludes Successfully
第二届无人系统与技术国际学术会议(UST 2026)圆满落幕
From July 3 to 5, 2026, 2026 2nd International Conference on Unmanned System and Technology (UST 2026) was successfully held in Tianjin, China. The conference was hosted by Tianjin University of Technology, organized by the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Tianjin University of Technology, and co-organized by Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Yanshan University, and Zhejiang University of Technology. The conference brought together experts and scholars from universities and research institutions in China, Norway, Canada, and other countries, engaging in in-depth exchanges on innovative theories and industrial practices in the field of unmanned systems.
2026年7月3日至5日,第二届无人系统与技术国际学术会议(UST 2026)在天津成功召开。本次会议由天津理工大学主办,天津理工大学计算机科学与工程学院承办,北京化工大学、燕山大学、浙江工业大学协办。会议汇聚了来自中国、挪威、加拿大等多国高校与科研机构的专家学者,围绕无人系统领域的创新理论与产业实践展开了深入交流。

Grand Opening Ceremony 开幕盛况
Chen Shengyong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Tianjin University of Technology, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. In his address, President Chen noted that the ongoing new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is accelerating, and unmanned systems have become a core track in global technological competition. The School of Computer Science and Engineering of Tianjin University of Technology is a benchmark for computer education in the region, having established a comprehensive talent cultivation system covering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, with Computer Science and Technology selected as a Tianjin "First-Class Discipline". The school, relying on the National Engineering Laboratory for Computer Virus Prevention and Control Technology and the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education for Computer Vision and Systems, provides solid platform support for cutting-edge research on unmanned systems. He pointed out that this conference closely focuses on innovative theories and industrial practices of unmanned systems, building a platform for in-depth global industry-university-research exchanges, gathering wisdom from home and abroad to jointly address technical bottlenecks and promote industry development.
天津理工大学党委副书记、校长陈胜勇出席开幕式并致辞。陈胜勇校长在致辞中表示,当前新一轮科技革命和产业变革加速演进,无人系统已然成为全球科技竞争的核心赛道。天津理工大学计算机科学与工程学院是区域计算机教育标杆,已构建本硕博完整育人体系,计算机科学与技术入选天津市“一流学科”。学院依托计算机病毒防治国家工程实验室、计算机视觉与系统教育部重点实验室,为无人系统前沿研究提供坚实平台支撑。他指出,本次大会紧扣无人系统创新理论与产业实践,搭建全球产学研深度交流平台,汇聚海内外智慧,共解技术瓶颈、共促行业发展。

Keynote Speeches 主旨报告
The conference invited four top experts in the field of unmanned systems to deliver keynote speeches, sharing the latest research findings on cutting-edge topics such as digital twins, low-altitude economy, AI-enabled autonomous unmanned equipment, and integrated design of maritime unmanned systems.
本次会议邀请了4位无人系统领域的顶尖专家作主旨报告,围绕数字孪生、低空经济、AI自主无人装备、海上无人系统一体化设计等前沿议题分享最新研究成果。
Prof. Houxiang Zhang from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology delivered a report titled "Digital Twins for Vessel Life Cycle Service". Prof. Zhang is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences and a member of the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters. He introduced the development of the digital twin of the Norwegian research vessel "Gunnerus", demonstrating how digital twin technology enables safe and convenient data exchange between different subsystems, modules, and various applications, making efficient and safe offshore operations possible.
挪威科技大学张厚祥教授作了题为《面向船舶全生命周期服务的数字孪生体》的报告。张厚祥教授是挪威技术科学院院士、挪威皇家科学与文学院院士。他介绍了挪威研究船“Gunnerus”号数字孪生的开发情况,展示了数字孪生技术如何实现不同子系统、模块和各类应用之间安全便捷的数据交换,为高效、安全的海上作业提供可能。
Prof. Youmin Zhang, an IEEE Fellow and CSME Fellow from Concordia University, Canada, presented a report titled "Low-Altitude Economy and Its Key Technical Challenges: Integrated Safety Issues, Challenges, and Development of Unmanned Systems". The report, combined with the application of remote sensing technology in the low-altitude economy, discussed the safety challenges faced by smarter, safer, more reliable, and more resilient autonomous unmanned systems, and introduced the latest research progress of his team in drone-based forest fire monitoring and suppression.
加拿大康考迪亚大学IEEE会士、CSME会士张友民教授带来题为《低空经济及其关键技术挑战:无人系统一体化安全问题、挑战与发展》的报告。报告结合遥感技术在低空经济中的应用,探讨了更智能、更安全、更可靠和更具韧性的自主无人系统所面临的安全性挑战,并介绍了其团队在无人机森林火灾监测与扑灭等方面的最新研究进展。
Prof. Ren C. Luo from Taiwan University delivered a report titled "AI Enabled Unmanned Robotics System Drives Automation to Autonomy". Prof. Luo is an IEEE Fellow and IET Fellow, and served as President of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. The report explored the diverse forms of AI-enabled unmanned systems, analyzed how physical AI and robotics technologies are pushing automation towards autonomy, and discussed the broad application prospects of this process across various industries.
台湾大学罗仁权教授以《AI赋能的无人机器人系统驱动自动化迈向自主化》为题作报告。罗仁权教授是IEEE会士、IET会士,曾任IEEE工业电子学会会长。报告探讨了人工智能赋能无人系统的多样化形态,分析了物理AI与机器人技术如何将自动化推向自主化,以及这一进程在各行业中的广阔应用前景。
Prof. Jing Yan from Yanshan University delivered a report titled "Integrated Design of Detection, Communication, and Control for Maritime Unmanned Systems". Prof. Yan is a recipient of the National Excellent Young Scientist and a Young Scientist of the Maritime Power Initiative. Focusing on the scientific issue of "synergistic mechanisms of detection, transmission, and control", he explored the integrated design of detection, communication, and control for maritime unmanned systems, and verified the effectiveness of the proposed methods through experiments.
燕山大学闫敬教授作了题为《海上无人系统探测-通信-控制综合设计》的报告。闫敬教授是国家优青获得者、海洋强国青年科学家。他围绕“探测、传输与控制协同机理”这一科学问题,对海上无人系统探测-通信-控制综合设计进行了探索,并通过实验验证了所提方法的有效性。

Prof. Junhao Xiao from the National University of Defense Technology delivered a report titled "Lingyuan: A Small Aerial-Aquatic Cross-Domain Robot".

Lecturer Yanan Li from Tianjin University of Technology delivered a report titled "Model Predictive Control-Based Cooperative Obstacle Avoidance Strategy for Tugboat Heading and Speed Control".

Prof. Yun Liu from Nankai University presented a report titled "Efficient Multimodal Visual Perception for Complex Real-World Scenarios: From Long Videos, 3D Space to Edge Deployment".
南开大学刘云教授分享了《面向复杂真实场景的高效多模态视觉感知:从长视频、三维空间到端侧部署》的报告。
Young scholars from institutions including Tianjin University of Technology, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Yanshan University, China Agricultural University, and Nanjing University of Science and Technology also shared their latest research findings in areas such as perception, control, and coordination of unmanned systems during the oral presentation sessions. Attendees actively asked questions, engaged in in-depth discussions, and the academic atmosphere was vibrant.
来自天津理工大学、挪威科技大学、北京化工大学、燕山大学、中国农业大学、南京理工大学等高校的青年学者也在口头报告环节分享了各自在无人系统感知、控制、协同等方向的最新研究成果。参会代表踊跃提问,讨论深入,学术氛围浓厚。

An award ceremony was also held, presenting awards for Best Paper, Outstanding Oral Presentation, and Best Poster, recognizing the outstanding performance of young scholars at the conference.
会议还举行颁奖仪式,分别为最佳论文、优秀口头报告和优秀海报展示颁发奖项,表彰在本次会议中表现突出的青年学者。
